You are invited to the final Business Breakfast for 2022, proudly hosted by the Goondiwindi Chamber of Commerce.

Join us at The Vic Hotel to enjoy a delicious hot breakfast while you listen to our guest speaker, Chantal Corish, The Rural Psychologist.

Chantal is well-known in our region and beyond as a psychologist and in-demand guest speaker and workshop facilitator, addressing thousands of rural people about improving their mental health and well-being.

Chantal was recently awarded the Central Queensland University (CQU) and Cotton Research Development Corporation (CRDC) Elevate Scholarship to assist in completing a Doctorate Degree (Doctor of Philosophy) examining the "crossroads of organisational psychology and agriculture".

Studying full-time has given Chantal the opportunity to drill down into the culture of farms as workplaces – specifically psychological safety on cotton farms. Little research has been applied to the 'people' aspect of farming, particularly what is referred to as the non-technical aspects like communication, teamwork and decision-making, as well as mental health and well-being and all that it takes to maintain a work life balance.

Chantal will share with us the challenges and some of her initial findings whilst conducting research in this space, or as she refers to it as this "brave new world".

Join us for this valuable insight into the people in our workplace.
